I'm just starting to learn RSD with the trial version. I created our site with VSD so this is a real challenge...but I'm trying. I was wondering how to add music to the site? With VSD there was a music player (jukebox). I'd prefer music to play continuously, but if not, that's ok. How does that work? Thanks!

Hey, Tanya!

What you need to get is an HTML audio player. These will work similar to our old Web Jukebox, but instead, they are HTML based (not Flash) which means they will work on any device. Just remember to keep an eye on the file sizes for the each audio file. The smaller, the better.

Here is a good list of ones to choose from:

Thanks. I just downloaded the Amazing Audio Player. But I guess I need an html editor to get the code out? I was able to create the player and save it all, but I need the code to insert into where it says "HTML" on the html element in RSD. Or is there another way to insert it?

The markup needed would be provided by Amazing Audio Player. You will then paste that markup in the HTML box under the Design pane. If there are support files, make sure to also include them by clicking the Resources toolbar icon and adding the files/folders there.

Well it doesn't provide an html editor, so I'm downloading one now. I need that to view the code I need to add! Wish I could just use your Jukebox, but it's not available for Mac, right?

JukeBox was only available for Windows. However, you would not want to use it for your site now as it used Flash which is not viewable on any mobile device. Using an HTML based audio player is what you need to have.

I was able to add some code into the HTML element. But there's code I'm supposed to add to a different part of the page....there's a bunch of code at the top, then the next section it says to "Insert to your webpage before the </head>. The part after that where it says "Insert to your webpage where you want to display the audio player"...I put that part into the HTML element. Is that correct? So where do I copy the first part into? (sorry, I'm not familiar with using code for the most part)

If you need to insert markup into the <head> this is done under the Settings pane. Paste the markup inside the Head box.

Yay, I did something right......I did figure out to paste it in there! I suppose the only way to see if any of this works is to upload it as a private page on my site and hope for the best :)

Of course now I'm having problems with overlapping text (in phone view)....argh....but that's another subject.

Wait, how do I upload it if it's not an html page? I must be missing a step.
