I am completely new to the RSD, always built everything with HTML coding. I also run some wordpress sites.
I want to build a responsive site, but also want a page which shows Facebook entries. Is that somehow possible with the RSD app?
Thanks!
adding a facebook 'plug in'? - Post...
Hi Max,
Your familiarity with WordPress plugins is evident from the way you worded your question!
Yes, it is possible to do all you want. But not with a plug-in.
RSD does not work like WordPress. Like all HTML editors, it is more hands-on.
If you go to Facebook developer pages, you will find instructions for the usual features such as Like buttons and embedded comments, etc. With these you find HTML code to insert in your page's HTML Body and JavaScript code in your page's Header, or Body, as advised. The HTML code can be inserted with the HTML element in RSD.
You may also have to create a Facebook App so you can include your ID in the Opengraph metatags that you may wish to include in the Header part of your pages. Metatags also can hold URLs to photos that represent your page when it is shared in Facebook. Click on Settings mode for each page to enter lines into the Header.
Hope this gets you up and running!
Best wishes,
Daniel
