A Way to convert old RSD website to...

I have been handed an old site built in RSD 2.5, that my client wishes to start using again. That's the old rows and columns version.

Does anyone know a way to make a conversion of these files to Site Designer without having to rebuild the site from scratch, line by line? It's a fair size, over 30 pages, so a lot to do line by line. I opened the site in an old version of RSD I had, it opens but it is quite unstable on some pages with text realigning itself and images disappearing.

Many thanks for anyone's thoughts on this.

I have done this with a lot of the old CC templates. They consisted of around 3-5 pages each. I removed the rows and columns and replaced them with divs.

It's a fair bit of work, but it is absolutely doable. Since I have two monitors, I opened the old version on one and a new project in a modern version of SD on the other screen. Then I made the 'skeleton' (the divs) in the new version and copied over the text. Make sure you also transfer the images and possible JS files.

Among the 30-odd pages of your project, I guess there may be several with exactly the same layout. When you have done one of those, you can duplicate it and use it as a master page for the other ones with the same layout.
