50 pages maximum... Why? Workaround?...

I was just ready to order Responsive Site Designer but upon reading a bit further, I noticed the limitation of 50 pages for the web site. My site has about 350 pages.

Is this limitation due to a Project Manager (or similar)? This is something I never use. I upload my new and/or modified files directly to my server via SFTP and don't depend on the software's publishing features.

To get around this limitation, may I break down my website into several "projects"?

If I have a website about boat design, for example, may I have a project that covers the main pages (about a dozen), then another project for various boat brochures? One for monohull sailboats (if over 50 pages then perhaps break down into sizes (less than 40 feet) or by yacht designer, one for catamarans, one for motor yachts? Then when the time comes, I upload these files to their appropriate place on the server.

Will this work or are there special files (like assets or something) involved that outputs messy code requiring that you use the website program and not be able to use a text editor if desired.

I'm going to download the 21-day trial, watch a few videos and read whatever I can find but I would appreciate some additional input from experienced users.

I hope this makes sense. I look forward to your replies.

Thanks

As far as I've heard, the limitation will be removed in one of the next versions. CC has sometimes used a limitation on new apps to begin with.

Hei Inger. Thanks for your quick reply. I didn't realize that RSD was so new. I'm looking at some of their documentation now.

I think I will start with my 35-page web site.

I have 3 pages that use frames. The frame encapsulates a brochure so they stay on our site while having access to information in the online brochure. I hope there is a way to accomplish this method /concept with RSD.

I hope it won't be too much of a challenge but it will be fun.

All the best,
Sheila

I have the same problem with quite a few sites. IF you create a folder and essentially make another 50 page stie in RSD and upload to that folder you can get as many as you need - I have a few over 200 pages. Make for a bit of a hassle keeping up with the navigation but works fine

Sorry - forgot - you can make larger sites in TLM and then open the wireframe in RSD. But my projects are to fluid and change to much to know exactly what is going on when they start
