2 Navigation Menus on a Page - Post...

I am trying to put 2 different menus on the same page. On a desktop view, I would like one to be horizontal and one Vertical. I was able to make it work with Menu Builder, but now in RSD it is telling me that "The component you are adding contains selections that are used on this page with different style rules. To avoid conflicts they will be appended. That means that Foundation classes might need to be re-added to create the original component appearance."

For the top menu: I used classes vertical, menu, and medium-horizontal

For the side menu: I used vertical and menu to make it appear correctly.

If anyone has a suggestion, I would greatly appreciate it.

Can you let us have a look at your project file?

One thing I would try is giving the two menus each its own ID, and then in Apply to select ID.

Angie, I have opened your file and am looking at two unstyled menus, one horizontal, the other one vertical. They both can be toggled at small screen sizes. So far so good.
What is it you need help with? The styling, probably, but I don't know how you want it to appear.
If you want ALL text links to look the same, then give them all the same class. If not, give them different classes.

You need to explain a bit further what your problem is.

I'll take another look. Panicked when I received that message.

Thanks for your help

Hopefully one final question: How do I get the menus to stay dropdowns at additional breakpoints? They are flipping to "medium" after to lowest breakpoint.

I would like to "mobile" menus for both orientations on an iphone and possibly tablets.

Angie, as I said in another reply to you, I'm away from home just with a tablet pc. I will not be able to help you with this for some time.

But I've been thinking of that very long list of programs you have down the left side. Would it be an idea to do it differently? I could think of three different, but fairly similar ways of displaying that list. It would need you to group the programs in say, Education and youth, Veterans, Legal stuff and whatever else fitting. These groups could be displayed as either cards, modals or accordions and be laid out across the screen width. If you also happen to have some illustration to go with each of those groups, it would make it all more interesting. A list down one side of the screen is so 'traditional', IMO. ;)
What do you think?

Thanks for the suggestions. It tends to be traditional right now as I am dealing with a multi-generational audience who are scared of change. I will play with your suggestions and try to ease them in as I become more familiar with them.
