I have been able to create a shop and actually publish it online - but I am having problems 98% of the time during the publishing to the server action. I get the following error "Failed While Saving Products" during the generate shop before the sync during publishing.

I did upgrade to the new version of cart creator and have been experiencing this problem since the upgrade. I also have uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled the application - still the same issue.

I can successfully save a shop, save as a new shop & also preview a shop before publishing.

Ideas?

Hiya rmp,

Do you have access to another host at all? If so I would suggest you try uploading it to another location to see if maybe the connection to your host is the problem. I've had this happen a few times myself, and it's usually my own internet that gets a lag bubble in it periodically and makes me lose connection to the server. That could be all it is, but you should check that to make sure.

Best way to first know if it's your server is to upload it to another place every so often to see if it happens there too. If it does, then time to check your internet connection as it may be there instead.

These would be my first assumptions. Not saying it can't be SCC, as we never can tell, but sounds like a connection issue to me more than software.

If i make the changes then do a save as the .scc file that was previously created - close out of scc then open the file back up again - i can publish with out any problems......

I'm getting the same error, and I have published a shop to this same account previously using the basic version.

It's one of Go Daddy's servers, and they're usually pretty good.

I'm running Windows XP SP3.

I just tried rmpdetroit's idea of saving the .scc file before trying to upload, and it worked that time.

So is everything is OK now?

No, it's back to doing it again today. I should note that- this is a problem I'm having with Shopping Cart Creator Pro.

Should I contact support? Or do you think it will get sorted out by the official release?

Looking at the original logs, it looks like you are not running the latest. Go to the Help Menu > Check for updates and get the latest version.
