upload problems again

In April I had trouble getting our website to upload -- finally figured out the problem on the website. Also had a problem getting our webstore to upload but finally it did and the updates were showing. I have no idea why it all of a sudden decided to work -- Scott had helped me a lot but we couldn't really find the problem on the webstore. It just worked finally.

Well, I left town for 3 weeks and now returned and can't get the webstore to upload. I can update and upload the website but not the webstore. No one has used my computer so no changes to configurations were made-- it simply won't take an update and I am back to square one in trying to figure out.

We really don't want to go the s-drive way for the webstore because of the $15 mo cost for the store. We have been using the SCC for a year but can't figure out why I am having trouble.

Today downloaded the latest build and tried again and didn't work.
I am on Win 7 and have had trouble since I bought the new computer back in March.

Anyone else have problems uploading their stores?
thanks for any ideas.

I'll assume you tried shutting down you anti virus or any other programs running while you publish.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

The only thing I have running is the anti virus and the browser -- I had tried it before but it didn't make a difference but I will try it again tomorrow and shut down AVG and the browser and see if that helps.

thanks

prairie...I have mentioned this elsewhere, but will say it again just in case your problem is the one I was having.
My server now requires me to enter my IP address as an FTP access filter. This means that every day I have to get my IP address and enter it into every domain I work on so that I can use the various applications which have ftp uploading...such as the store, my HTML Editor, my FTP application and so on.

Worth checking if this might be a new requirement on your own server. Just look for something referring to "ftp access filter" or similar.

Janys, thanks so much for your help. I have solved my problem! with your info I looked at the control panel at my webhost and found my problem.

I had fiddled with the settings so much that I was just uploading into the wrong folder.

Now --- I am writing down all my settings so that if I start fiddling again I will have the correct ones.

thanks!
btw -- love your website!
