One work around that you can try as a temporary measure is to create a landing page that give you a menu with sub menus. Once you get to the last category chosen it can take you to the shopping cart. One of several copies run in different directories

For example: (using the first post in this thread)

Sporting Goods

Don't know what happened there but I seem to have hit a key to post instead of the tab that I intended.

To continue

Sporting Goods When you choose it (or with flash menu they'll come up on mouseover) you are presented with sub categories of

_____Football
_____Baseball
_____Basketball
_____Hockey
_____Soccer

and so on as deep as you need to go. When you get to the specific category you launch a copy of the shopping cart in that directory. It may require a lot of copies running in many differerent directories but it will get you going.

The down side is that every category would need to be purchased seperately.
Not an ideal solution by any means but it gets you going until.......

Hi,
I wonder is it possible to have categories without dropdown box like this
all onview:

MOUNTAIN BIKES [no link]
trek
gt
claude buttler
CLOTHING [no link]
tights
caps
shorts
and so on....

otherwise it has to be:
MOUNTAIN BIKES TREK
MOUNTAIN BIKES GT...and so on.

This way is untidy, also the layout
on some themes break the line, so you
end up with:
MOUNTAIN BIKES
TREK
MOUNTAIN BIKES
GT
not good.

Cheers,
Baz.

Maybe a workaround, but with the easiness of SCC it should take a sec.
Why not create several shops for the different (sub)categories.
And with using some (basic?) programming you could connect/interlink them...

Just a thought..:/
