Shopping Cart limitations - Page 1

I really was looking forward to the Shopping Cart software. It's a pity that is so limited in payment-methods though.
Here in Europe the PayPal is not very popular (I have it on my site since ages, but nobody ever used it!)
The Google Payment doesn't work - at least the 'Create account' option: I only get a blank screen.
There is no possibility as far as I can see, so implement my own payment option for the service I use here in Holland!
So - until this option is added - no Shopping Cart for me.
What a pity.

At this time, Shopping Cart Creator supports PayPal and Google Checkout. We chose to support these two options in particular because of their reliability. With more then 164 million user accounts and support for multicurrency transactions, PayPal is one of the leading payment processors. Google Checkout offers your customers a fast and reliable checkout process, supported by a trusted brand. In future releases, we plan to include other reputable online merchant accounts. Please e-mail us your needs or suggestions!

The link to Google just launches your default browser and takes you to the Google Checkout page a checkout.google.com

Thanks for your prompt answer Scott. I figured it was something like this, but as I said, it's rather useless for me (and I'm afraid for a lot of other non-American users too) because of reasons I mentioned in my first posting.
What I need is, a simple possibility to integrate the iDEAL payment option (Dutch banks) which is on my site now. I wrote/use a too complex php script, which works now, but has lots of limitations as well. That's why I was looking forward to this Cart Creator. I even bought at the time Shop Factory, but that a total mess and when I finally found out how it worked, I had to spend another 300 euro to integrate the iDeal payment option. So I discarded it.
Well you know my needs now and I'm sure you would please lots of people by expanding the payment options.
Have a good day!

I also I'm somewhat disappointed as I purchased the Google module only to find that it is restricted to the USA and England/GB totally useless to me in Australia. This should have been made clear in the promotion material and Coffee Cup checkout.

Although Paypal is OK, they are NOT the most friendly people to deal with when things go belly up. There needs to be better/more options to integrate the shopping cart to Payment gateways.

I'll add my disappointment re the payment options Scott.

paypal here (UK) are a nightmare to deal with and people just dont your Google Checkout. Not one user in two years on my site. All payments are Mastercard or Visa.

Same for me here in Switzerland, I payed the Google Module and it is completely useless since it is restricted to the USA.
A question is there any possibilitie of getting back the money payed for Google module, maybe to use it for another coffeecup soft, I mean something useful to us  ???

Best regards

Maybe Coffee Cup will allow the users who purchased the bundle who can't use Google Checkout to swap it for a newer module when released that we can use in our countries?

Would seem a fair thing to do.

We will have to treat each person on a case by case basis with that request. This is why we offer fully functional trial versions so that all aspects of the software can be tested before you buy. The trial version comes with PayPal and Google Checkout support.

However, we always try to be fair ;)
