I know i am out of my depth here, but isnt there a workaround by changing the name of a desctop shortcut, so that by having one icon shortcut named trade, and another named retail that would get Prairie out of trouble (assuming only two shops)

I know it works with VSD

Buy it once, then make as many stores as you want.
(That’s right, no limits on the number of stores you can make or maintain)

Second line of comparison between standard and pro.

Yep and you can "make" as many as you want to without a doubt, I'm just saying that the settings didn't update when I used it with multiple shops and what I was told years ago already about it was that it's meant for a single store setup and that if you do multiple stores then you'll have to change those settings each time. Maybe they updated that and it's no longer like that? That could be, but just relaying what I learned back then. :)

Is this for just standard version. I don't have to change my setting in pro. Each shop retains the correct ftp settings. I don't have standard to test.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Yeah that's the main difference between the 2 versions. The basic version is built for one shop. Pro version is built for multiple shops. Basic version will always (or used to just in case they changed it, but I'm doubting they have) have to have settings adjusted when changing different shops because it doesn't have the ability to retain multiple setups for multiple shops. That's what the Pro version is all about and more :)

Amatuer shop owner needs one cart for their one shop (SCCB)

Website developer who wants to be a pro, needs SCCP so their customers dont get one and others sales, or mix ups

Single woman one man every day, Pro more than one man every day  and needs a better memory :)

I just was looking at my control panel ( had my webhost change me over to 5.2php for forms hosting) and I noticed that I had a
public_html folder, a 'store' folder, a 'shop' folder!!!!!

within my 'public_html' folder there were my correct folders of 'retail store' 'wholesale store' 'files', 'css images' and some others. But basically these are the files I need for the website and shopping carts.

I bet that back when I didn't know what I was doing -- as opposed to now :D I uploaded files to a a store folder and a shop folder rather than into the public_html folder.

My site works fine so I guess I need to delete my 'store folder' and 'shop' folder that are not in the 'public_html' folder.

Maybe that will solve my problem???

About a year ago i went in with direct ftp and deleted about 60 or 70 folders from my server from when i started out : loads of duplicates

My hosting account now has less than 1/2 the content it used to have :)
