Problem with short description - Post...

Hi Scott
When typing a product's description in the short description box I am tryng to force jumping to a new line . I tried the standard method enter and shift/enter but no luck. How do I force a new description line

Hello Dave,

Well, I've tried several ways...and failed every time. There's no way to do it.

You can always put this in the suggestion thread for the next release. I can see where it would be helpful to be able to do it.

Doesn't the short description form part of the meta tags which enables search engines to find the site? Not sure of the implications of putting a line break in there.

Can this be looked into please. Although Will (see his comment in this thread)seems to think there is a good reason you cannot force a line break. Something to do with meta tags for search engine!!!.

Right now it is a single line input box, so adding a new line will not be possible. I am not sure if that sort of functionality will eventually be added in our not. The original goal was just for a description of only a few characters to give an overview and not become a replacement for the long description.
