The problem with your shipping module Frank, is that few people will actually contact you to get a delivery price. :(

If I go to a site and that company ships items internationally, I expect the price to be clearly displayed. With that transparency of pricing, I know that I am paying the same shipping costs as everyone else that purchases. Also without the international shipping price being in the cart, I cannot use the cart to make my potential purchase.

Not being negative, or over critical, just pointing out a significant commercial flaw with your current international shipping.

You can add a shipping cost to each item and then have an additional cost added onto it in the shipping options module.

Well after fiddling around thinking if to buy or not to buy yet, I went for it just so I could get a head start for setting up before the PRO edition comes out. After four extra large coffees thru the night I put a few items up, and dissabled the paypal to show my current customers what to expect in the New Year. My previous products page on the main site was continous adding images and thumbnails to make it look "good". So I sent out a email blast to my customers with a link to a temporary file so they could check out my new look, and "play" with the add to cart buttons....great easy software to use, I held out this long for it, waiting for the PRO version so I could do discounts & vouchers as I do alot of promotional things year round.
Here is a preview of my shop as of 6 hours of work...(well and a few times in the kitchen for snackies" ;) I have over 90 models to make images for so lots of work ahead, but thats okay :/

My site was made with dreamweaver, but I use lots of little bits form coffee cup, to improve my site.
For instance, I can't get my head round PHP, so i bought their form, which i've just set up on the site (you just copy all their files, then put the "contact us" page in the same folder as their files, and it's done - no need for me to know PHP).

Also, on my site, you will see little things, like the "sale" buttons, in bright blue, red, whatever. These add some colour to my site, which is, otherwise, totally blue !

I just thought I would share these things with people, cus you don't have to switch to coffee cup, completely. If you already have other html software, you can still dive in, and save yourself some time and money, by using the forms, and button images etc., rather than paying someone else to do that side.

My site is http://www.2010diary.co.uk (UK only, naturally). I sell diaries and wall planners, stuff like that. The site is only busy for 2 mths a year, and then it's not that brilliant. But it's mine, as was 2009diary, 2008diary, and will be 2011 and so on.

Nice site BMAFM, very eye pleasing, meaning comfortable on the eyes. You using Paypal's cart stuff? Or is that some other shopping cart setup?

I have been a Coffee Cup user for several years and found all the products to work very well. I really like the shopping cart software.
The main site where the cart is being used is http://www.mrhypnosis.net and the direct link to the store is http://www.mrhypnosis.net/store

You will notice on the main site it is created with the html software and uses jukebox for my message and the flash software for the butterfly and text effects.
Keep on Keeping on CoffeeCup!

Nice clean laid out site Ray. Lots of textual content, easy to understand product information, straightforward navigation with graphics and site colours that are easy on the eyes.

Good Job. :)

Very nice Ray, everything seems well done, but I have problems on the flash movie you have on it. It's cut off on the left side by quite a bit, and under the butterfly also seems cut off as the text is not really there for me, just spots where I can see there is supposed to be text, I'm guessing I'm seeing the very tip tops of the letters.

Thanks :) Will and Wolverna for your comments. Wolverena, the flash is from the trial version of firestarter and the words under the butterfly is the link to CoffeeCup. The exploding words are good in internet explorer and I tested it in Opra when I put it up there. But now I notice that Firefox cuts them off and perhaps other browsers do too so I removed the exploding words. Perhaps if I decide to purchase the registered version of Firestarter it would not be an issue.

Hiya Ray,

I would ask in the Firestarter thread if anyone knows if that will fix it or not (the registered version that is) as I can't see CC making something not work right in the trial versions since trial versions are usually what will get people to buy the registered ones. It may just be a setting of some sort to do with the width or something :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
