Hello everyone, my name is John Jordan. I just finished and posted my first shopping cart site. creaturelagoon.com. This is definitely a niche site for fans of Creature from the Black Lagoon. I used the 80’s punk theme and modified the style sheet to meet my needs. It was quite an effort but a great learning experience too.
I tip my hat to the Coffee Cup team members who built this program. You’ve given the public a tool that empowers us to achieve what we once thought was out of reach. I look forward to watching this software grow and growing with it.

As for my fellow forum members, I would appreciate any constructive criticism that you can provide.

That is a great site! You need to add in all the DVD's that are available too ;)

Hi John. I take a different stance on ecommerce sites to most people. The best web site design in the world, is of little use if your product lines are total crud.

With your site however, you have an excellent selection of products, at realistic selling prices. Your products are easy to identify, well categorised and with product descriptions that give enough detail without sending your potential customers into a coma. :)

The overall site design is easy on the eyes, with well chosen colours that have good contrast with each other. Everything is well laid out and easy to find.

The only thing I'd suggest, is for you to remove the mailto links from your site, or spambots will innundate you mailbox with more junk mail than you could ever wish for. Contact forms are easy to implement and will save you many hours of 'mail trashing'.

I still remember back in the '80s (cough cough) when Creature from the Black Lagoon was broadcast on TV in 3D and you could get the glasses from Taco Bell.

OK, I'm working on a few different shops, but I finally got my first one finished and on line about a week ago. It is for my neighbors that have a business making decorations / ornaments / souvenirs etc out of salt crystals.

Site: http://www.kristalco.com
Shop: http://www.kristalco.com/shop

It was only online for about 12 hours when they got their first sale. It was very cool, but I think that I was more excited about than they were. :D

very cool stuff on that site Jorgey, it's amazing how many different things people create from things you'd never even think of trying to use in a craft or art. I love seeing things like this and how creative people really can be.

You know Scott, those glasses didn't work to well on our 13" B&W that my family used to huddle around. :P

And my wife wonders why I drool over the TV displays of ANY Retail Store when we walk through... And buy things like PS3 for BluRay movies and great games :D
