I haven't tried it yet. Will I be able to using shopping cart so a user/consumer purchase a mp3?
And will I be able to use a mp3 file with VSD and shopping cart?

Currently the Shopping cart no option for digital downloads. The shopping cart has an html tool that you can use to insert html in order to play sounds.
I'm sure VSD has the ability to include an mp3 file. I don't use it but folks around here have done some terrific things with it.
The best thing to do is try both trials and see for yourself.

The only way to sell down loadable products with the SCC at the moment is to send the customer a link to download after purchase.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
