You can just add a ($+ to base price) and ($- from base price) at each option listed {for each product}

Hi Keith,

Have you tried this? I didn't think that the shopping cart would correctly add or subtract from the posted price.

In another paypal shopping cart program all you had to do was add a $ amount after each option to change the price....maybe you could impliment something simple like that. .e.g

I am selling a pen for $50.00 then i add these optional fields.

Coating:
silver $10.00
gold $15.00
platinum $20.00

This would then add these prices onto the price of the item.

Quite a few shopping carts offer a facility for a option related price adjustment.

Whilst it is possible to work around this by having different listings for each price related option, ideally with a link to the other items, it is not ideal solution.

Many javascript carts offer this facility, whereas most php based carts appear to use a database to store these option variables.

Only the developers at Coffeecup know how easy (or hard) it would be to implement this worthy addition. :/

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
