Missing Visual Feedback after adding...

So I've beta tested my site, clicking here and there and everywhere, and when I click 'Add To Cart', there seems to be no visual feedback. I.e, I'm not taken to my cart to see what I've got in there, nor is there are visual cue's on screen. Even the "view cart" link stays the same, that there isn't any "1 item in cart" kind of feedback.

Perhaps am i missing anything in the cart creation process here?

Btw, when I manually click on 'view cart' and taken to my cart page, everything I've added to cart is in there, and it's all good. It's just that the lack of visual feedback (in my case here) worries me as it might cause a customer to click 'add to cart' more than once, thinking that nothing's has happened.

There is an option to keep shopping or view cart after adding an item to the cart so you may have the keep shopping option selected.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Hiya Mar,

Some of the themes also have a visual setup to tell you that you have items in your cart. If you look at my shop in the top right corner once you add something to the cart it then increments a number to tell you you have items there and then you can click that to go to the cart. Other than that, it's exactly how Tassie says for the settings :)

I saw it on your site Jo Ann! That's what I wanted! Ill try to fix it when I get back.

And thanks Tess for highlighting that option! I must've missed it in my euphoria, and look like a fool now. These shades should help me.

No need to think you look like a fool Mar, the fool is the one that doesn't bother to ask and instead gets frustrated and gives up hehe. We've all been in your shoes many times over so ask away :)
