Is Shopping Cart Creator 3.5 for me?

Currently, I have a small "freebie" eShop that is included in my server package from 1and1.com:

I have almost outgrown this, and am trying to decide whether to "upgrade" to one of their more advanced packages:

http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/Eshops … rigin=Home

... or, whether to build my own from scratch, using your software or a shopping cart script that I might purchase or download. Sounds like your software would allow me to have lots of categories and lots of products in each category, is that right? And it would give me flexibility in defining shipping costs for different types of items, right? I was hoping to be able to offer downloadable items, too--how's that coming? Do you still hope to have the "Pro" version out by the end of the summer?

I am also thinking of trying out the Joomla CMS and was wondering about using your software to create a eShop in that context--any thoughts on that?

BTW, I am a longtime user and devoted fan of Direct FTP!

Thanks!

Wayne

We hope to have the pro version out by late summer which will have some sort of digital download capabilities.

Just a note from a satisfied user ... this is the best simple software I have used in over five years selling online. The new update is great - causing me to abandon the Zen cart and other carts. Give it a try - the learning curve is short and the benefits are great. :)

I use 1and1.co.uk for hosting over here in the UK but have found their pricing stuctures are forcing me to look elsewhere and thats without adding an eshop package. In fact they wont even run php on their smaller packages even though they are twice as expensive as another host I use which does include it.

I only have to set up 2 shops at the moment, both for part-time 'pocket money' businesses and I looked at coffeecup, trialled it, considered it, then v3.5 was released and I was convinced.
The final convincing thing for me was the up and coming styler/designer package - so easy to match the shopping cart theme to blend in with the existing web scheme.

And you only have to pay once not each month, so its got to be worth a go!
