Hi everyone.
For some reason my shop (Shopping Cart Pro, purchased in July or August 2012) stopped working correctly a couple of weeks ago, although I had not changed anything for over 5 months. I am now seeing loads of error messages all over the place, e.g.
Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /home/httpd/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/shop-old/ccdata/data/index.inc.php on line 529 (and a load of other line numbers as well) xxxx is just for security's sake. Adding something to the shopping cart also gives another load of errors. I checked the files' dates on the server and nothing suspicious seems to have been added or changed.
Anyway, I have decided to make a new shop from scratch, but can't for the life of me find the file with the step-by-step instructions of how to install it from new. I am positive I had them somewhere otherwise I - a bit of a dummy in such matters - would never have been able to get it working in the first place !
Could someone tell me where I can find the Installation of Shopping Cart Pro instructions For Dummies ?
Thanks

Hey Dane!

All you need to do there is download the latest version of Shopping Cart Creator (3.9) and just save and publish your shop. It should correct that problem. The reason for the error is your server probably just upgraded to PHP 5 and older versions of Shopping Cart Creator did not work with that version of PHP but 3.9 does.

Thankyou very much - I will try that now when I've changed the original shop folder on the server back to the way it was.

Sorry to have to ask again --- OK, I sorted out the FTP and am editing this post.

But it keeps telling me I need to enter the correct URL of my shop under Your Shop-.. Inventory.
The correct URL IS entered,
I have tried it with and without /httpdocs/shop in the address but it is still giving me the warning that the inventory will not work unless the correct URL is entered. It is entered as
http://www.catbikes.ch/shop/
but as I say, even with the insertion of /httpdocs/
the warning still appears.

Could it be something to do with the permissions - at the moment the ccdata/store folder has permissions number 755 = owner read, write, execute / group: read, execute / world: read, execute ?

Also, I told it to add a desktop shortcut, and it didn't. When I click on the .exe file, it shows me an empty sort of start page. What would be the correct address on c: for it to open with my current shop, like it used to do ?

Yes, I was up until gone 4 a.m. trying to sort it out.

For the problem about it opening my shop automatically when it starts up, I added a shortcut to my desktop then in SCC Pro I used "Open Shop", saw that it wanted an .scc file, so I did a search for *.scc files in windows (XP) and used the one with the latest date.
Thankyou so much for all your help.
