When I go to checkout of my shop (http://www.bluechiplax.com/shop/checkoutpps.php?connect)
I get a paypal box on top that sits over my text.

When payment is completed it returns to this same page and people feel that they are in a loop.. with the option to return to shop keeping them in the same place, or paying again.

1. How can I get rid of this box from paypal?

2. I want to route purchasers to another page in the web site AFTER they pay. I have set the profile in Paypal to do this but it keeps going back to the checkoutoutpps.php page. How can I make the return to blue chip lacrosse page in paypal go to my other page?

Thank you for helping. We are having great confusion of people who need to complete a form on the other page only to be presented with what appears to be a loop in the checkout page.

This is a great program, but I'm a bit slow on the uptake..

To your first questions, I am sorry but that is how it works. There is no way to change it and we have no immediate plans to modify that. A lot of carts out there work the same way.

If you would like to use a different return url, you can go to https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/websc … e-payments and set one, however if you do this, your customers cart will not be cleared out and it will still have the items in there. This cart only gets cleared out when they return to it after a purchase.

Scott,
When I return to the site after clearing a payment, I'm presented with the pay pal box that says return to pay .. or return to shop, but I've already paid and am back on the shop. It's very confusing..Here is the URL

http://www.bluechiplax.com/shop/checkoutpps.php

I have a five cent test item at the bottom of my store and if you wallk through it you'll see what I mean. I'm thiking I might be able to give my clients a link to the page I want them to go through by listing a dummy item and placing a link to the page I want in that, but I have to get them back on the site with a clearer direction (er.. if I'm clear.. )

thanks for your patience.

I just reread the messages. If it returns to the cart that's ok, it's the paypal box on top that says

we will take you to checkout.. and payment.. when in fact they have just come from checkout.

if there a way to make that box not be there when they return from paypal?

Sorry, but all that information is hard-coded into the shop and there is no way to customize or remove it.

Hi,
I can't see Coffee Cup in the list of PAY PAL PARTNERS?

We are actually working on just that now. One of their requirements is that we need to support PayPal Pro, so we are looking at the best way to implement that.

I think the $360 annual fees PayPal want off site owners for Pro, is a major deterrent, especially when even regular PayPal still allows customers to pay by credit card.

Hi,
I remember reading a thread on this subject before. Can't find it.
Am I right in thinking at this time every product has to be inputted manually via a add to cart button?

The principle difference between Paypal's Pro and Standard products appears to be the inclusion of a Virtual Terminal facility in the Pro, This is a worthless addition if your business already uses a chip & pin terminal to accept debit and credit cards for face to face and customer not present (i.e. phone, mail & email orders) transactions.

I know the virtual terminal can be very useful addition but it not a good solution for retailers who need to deal with customers' face to face payments very quickly.

I hope you plan to maintain the Paypal express & standard options in both the basic cart and forthcoming pro cart versions.
