I am not sure if anyone has ran into this issue in working with clients with CC software. I have a client that I am currently building a shop for. He wants to be able to update the store himself after I have completed the process for him. Can anyone think of an idea as to how this might be possible, without him outright purchasing the software and just updating himself.

All updates to the shop need to be made inside of the software itself. This means your client will also need to own a license for the software so they can install it on their computer.

Hi,
I own registered copy of coffeecup shopping cart which is presently on sister-in-laws computer and wanted to know how -actually what- files must be manually d/l to my computer since I've already d/l program on new computer. Certainly don't want to lose anything in my vast shopping cart text or graphics. Do I have to manually load files such as ccs, etc or just do an export of cartr contents from her computer and let it land on my miner????

Thanks and any imput would be greatly appreciated!

Hiya Pamela,

There are 2 things you need to have the full website setup for your shopping cart.

Go to the location you are saving the shopping cart in and find the:

your_shop_name_here.scc

and

The folder with the same name with _files at the end. You'll probably have an autosave there also, but as long as you have the .scc file and the folder with _files at the end that goes with it that is your whole shop.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
