Hi, I've done a quick search on this and I have raised it in another thread but I'm still hoping/waiting to find an answer.....

My images appear fuzzy/blurry and this is obviously down to the software rendering as I don't have these issues on other platforms that I sell on. Is there a workaround?

Oh, and I think I've mentioned this before....please can we have larger thumbnails:D

Thanks
Corrina

What you want to do is bring in the images at the pre-set sizes in the software so they are not re-sampled.

100 x 100 for thumbnails
212 x 212 for the other images

ohhhhhhh ty ty you should have told us that in the other thread Scott lol, that's what we were talking about on the thumbnail problem. I'll work on this issue myself too now as I wasn't sure if it paid to try it or if the program would keep overwriting our uploaded ones or not. :)

I know I have posted that a few times in other threads, but I can't locate those right now ;)

Delete your existing photos through the cart creator console and replace with the resampled one.

Thanks Will - how do I distinguish between Thumbs and Main Images? The software only asks you to bring in one image

Hiya Green, I think they mean replace them in the folder rather than in the program. You can usually tell which is why by the names. They are in the shop/ccdata/images folder of your server (or you can export your shop to a folder on your computer and do it that way too. The files you want to replace start with the name smallmain...

I haven't done this yet on my server, but unless someone else comes up with an easier way, I was planning to do this by grabbing the largest images that SCC created in that folder, and using that image if it's decent looking enough and hasn't degraded much from the original if any. This way the files are already named correctly other than changing the beginning part of the name. You can use a program like EZThumbs to resize the pictures which also has a rename system built in so you can do both at the same time. This way you won't have to rename the files manually.

Hope that helps :)

:o Thanks Jo....I had an inkling that that was coming after doing some digging around in the file structure.

Will give EZ Thumbs a go! Thanks for tip.

CoffeCup can we please make this easier or fix the issue......due to the nature of my product my image turnover will be very high. I'd prefer to spend time making my jewellery;)

Cheers
