Hi all,

Ever since the recent announcement that the new version would support authorize.net I have spent quite a bit of time researching it. It appears that you don't deal with auth.net themselves but need to sign up with one of MANY re-sellers.

I have spent more hours than I can count pouring over their many sites trying to find one that accepts accounts from vendors outside of the US.

Does anyone here that is outside of the US have an Auth.net account???

If so...

Can you point me in the direction of the re-seller (if any) that takes non-us based business accounts.

thanks a bunch for any help provided.....

!&#$. What about TD Bank ? I haven't set it up yet or even contacted them but when I saw them on the list of re-sellers I though I was OK. Jeesh. So I purchased the Authorize.net Module.

This is why Coffeecup Software ticks off people. You should NOT have to completely, and I mean completely set up something with any software to actually be sure it is going to work for you. A little trust has to be involved.

It goes like this - yes, I like the way the software works it - yes, it seems like it is going to do what I want it to - I TRUST that any issues like it won't work for anyone except Americans in America would result in a notice in the description of the software. Or on the purchase page - somewhere!!! And yes I already purchased Google checkout to find out it won't work for me in Canada - yet. But, someday, who knows, maybe, possibly, it could happen. Not good enough.

Still, I really hope the Authorize.net Module will work in Canada. I was so close to giving up on this software. The new release and the possibility of PayPal and a credit card(s) for non PayPal users convinced me to try to get it to work.

thanks,

Eric

There is some responsibility on the consumer side too Eric. If you are not sure if PayPal, Google Checkout or Authorize.net will work for you, 5 minutes of research can clear it up. Authorize.net has free LiveChat support and PayPal and Google Checkout have exhaustive amounts of documentation that explains everything. Right on the main page of Authorize.net it says "Sign Up" and a link to http://authorize.net/solutions/merchant … quiryform/

Offering a trail version of the various modules would not help either because you need to have an account number to paste into the module.

I can understand things may get frustrating, but I think your putting your frustration on CoffeeCup when in fact we are not setting those restrictions, it is the merchant themselves.

I would ask them directly to be sure:

When I e-mailed them, I got a reply in under an hour.

already did...they replied that it was a reseller issue and since they deal with so many resellers they could not advise...i would have to coantact them all individually and ask each one seperately what their terms and conditions were

that is why I thought I would ask here if anyone had managed to uncover even a single one that accepts accounts from outside the US.....
