Has anyone figured out how to create a footer that spans the whole width of the page. I have a header that I did it to, but thats because I was able to apply the design to the upper part of the background and the header area. I cannot do that for the footer, since all of the pages are different lengths. any thoughts?

Are you talking about a visual footer, or an area in which to add content?

The only thing that comes to mind for the first would be possible if you could be sure of your maximum page height. That would be to create a page background image ...long, skinny, vertical... with a coloured band at the lower end which would behave a bit like a footer background. Your content area would still remain the same though.
In the second case, I think you will have to hash those files again!
But to be honest... I was thinking about your using a shopping cart designer, not creator.

Good point Janys. This thread should probably be in the designer forum.

No, this is not a design question. I am trying to match the design of my html template with that of my cart. In my html the footer and header has a design (image) that goes the full length. I found the capabilities for the header, but cannot figure out the correct program manipulation to have the footer go the full length.

Yes, if I had the ability to have all pages be the exact same height I could design it that way, but unfortunately, it does not work that way, every page is a different height.

So my original idea might still work. you don't worry too much about having the pages the same height, ... and still do the background skinny strip but fix it to the bottom of the page. If the top part of the strip can still be the same colour as your actual background. No-repeat of course. And still hashing of course.

Okay you totally lost me there. Not a design question but you want to match the design.

SCC is for content and SCD for design.

I must be missing something..... is there a way to change the design in SCC itself?

Eric... if I may beg to differ... I also think this is more a design issue really. And Tassie... this would probably involve hashing files around whether with the cart or the designer IMHO.

I believe the footer width is a design issue and not a cart issue, too.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Never mind.
I will just end the thread here.
