Finally got around to using Pro. I really like some of the new features.
However one item is driving me nuts.
My old shop file was named "Beach-Bum-Shop". The new program refers to the new shop as "BeachBumShop-server". On the surface this appears not a big problem...but search engines have me listed prominently now with pages that would have the old file name in it. The potential customer clicks on the link and the file is, of course, not valid. The get a HTTP 404 File Not Found message.
Seems the easy answer would be to just rename the file, right? Wrong.
There are files in the new store (countless it seems) that have a reference to "BeachBumShop-server" and the new shop will not work unless I keep the shop file named "BeachBumShop-server.
Anyone experienced this? If so...were you able to correct it?
Why can't I use the old shop name? -...
The -server folder name will only be there if you manually exported your shop. It sounds like you then started saving your shop to that folder again after exporting.
To fix this, just go to the File Menu > Save As and then create a new folder and save it into that folder.
You probably also then messed up your shop by uploading different versions so the best way to fix this is simply over FTP delete everything and re-publish again.
