Using an image in the header as...
I have a customer that has an image as the top of their existing site that provides the navigation. To keep the look/feel I'd like to use an image map to replicate the existing content.
I believe I can add the necessary map information in the footer area (since I have the box to enter HTML into the footer). However, I don't have that same capability for the actual header image. So - is there a way to edit the attribute for the header image to incorporate usemap="#headermap"?

Find the name of the header image and change the image map to match that name. The image may have changed dimensions so you may have to edit the coordinates too.

If you are using the Shopping Cart designer then you can add your own image to the shop design. An image attached were/how to do so. Just select the navigation menu and upload your own image where the red arrow is showing and adjust the margins in the advanced tab for it to fit in the space. You can so this in all templates for the header, nav etc.

Thanks for the input. I did use SC Designer to put the image in the theme. The issue comes with trying to configure the image map. I attempted what Tom suggested - instead of using the map element and then calling out the attribute usemap= , I changed <map name="headermap"> and changed the headermap to the image name in the footer area (where I can input HTML in the tool). That caused unexpected results so ... I will come up with a different plan. It does not appear to be possible in the current tool without making changes to the output PHP files.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. You would have to put the image map code in the footer using the html tool and use the name of the header image for the map, whatever the cart names it.
