Uploading SCCP within VSD

After reading a number of threads in this forum, I am requesting confirmation on the uploading of SCCP to a site created with VSD. The background is I have created a site for a local business. The owner has requested a shopping cart be added for his gift shop located within his museum. I have created the shopping cart with SCCP and matched the overall design with the original site. They both are still a work in progress. My concern is "attaching" the cart to the site. As I understand it, I will upload the site to the "/public_html" folder and the shopping cart to a folder "/shop" within the public_html folder. Is this correct? Thanks in advance for any help....Booth Kates

Hi,

Your /public_html folder is likely the root folder for your site. This is where the index.html file needs to be for your default home page.

After that, it's up to you. You can locate your shop files in any folder such as /public_html/shop. It could be /public_html/myshop or /public_html/theshop etc. as long as you link to it with the correct path or imbed it in your own site using the right path for the folder you decide to use.

You can see my example of such a shop and web site (and an S-Drive stream) all designed to look alike and all built with VSD and SCCP at http://www.fixtronix.ie. The shop is linked to on a Post-It style image on the right of the homepage.

Thanks David. Once again the community of coffeecup users responds. I really appreciate it. This is my first attempt at using the SCCP software. Although the design is complete, the client still has over 250 items he needs to send to me for inclusion in the shop. I was just getting a little nervous about the upload procedures and tying the VSD software with SCCP once the client decides to make the project live.
