I've been using SCCpro since it's inception and haven't had any problems, until now.
It doesn't like my server any more. (this happened since 11/20/2018 when I uploaded some new items). I also tried Direct FTP and had the same problem. After an hour with the tech at the host (BlueHost.com), it was determined that it was due to settings, as another FTP client worked fine. I them found that there was an update to both Direct FTP and to SCCpro, which I downloaded. Now my FTP (DirectFTP) works fine, but with the exact same server settings, I still am getting a 'unable to connect, user/password may be incorrect' error when trying to upload my store. Any suggestions ???? or can I manually upload store files using DirectFTP? Help, my store is dead in the water.

Hi Ed,
I would open a support topic and ask the CC gurus. Post back here when you get an answer.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

A client I set up using SCC is suddenly having upload problems also. After the hosting company upgraded their servers, it seems some security settings were altered and now she can't upload. I'm experimenting with different configurations...surely it can't be in possible. I DID try to use DirectFTP to upload and it partially works, but is not functional after uploading that way. I also found that you *can* upload using the built-in http port 80 setting however...that a lost cause as after that the site becomes insecure. Still trying things...
(I wish CC hadn't sold out. They were such a good company, I'm seriously disappointed in the new "gear".)

Firstly, CC haven't sold out. They are alive and well!
Secondly, when the 'responsive revolution' happened some 8 years ago, it was important to develop new software to handle responsive site building, so something had to be left on the back burner. The last update we've seen of the Shopping cart software happened in 2017.
After that we've had the worries about internet security, which resulted in everyone having to use https. Maybe that could be a reason for your upload problems. You need to speak with your hosting company about maybe having to change something in the FTP setup.
Ha en riktig god dag!
