Use Free FTP and log onto your server. Look at your /shop folder. Check the 'permissions' is set to 705. Check the folders under that are 705 or 777. Let me know what you find. If they are not set to 705, set them to 705.

I am not to fond of the free ftp can I do this on Cpanel? If so where exactly can I find this folder? I checked under shop folder but there are many options.

I don't use a cpanel. Sorry. You have filezilla, or any other FTP client. Easiest way to look at your server. If not, then you'll just have to look around cpanel until you finder file/folder permissions and see what they are set at.

Someone familiar with cpanel may chime in here.

EDIT: Read this... http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/cpanel/file_permissions.htm

And what are the folder permissions set at? If you are in free FTP they should be on the right. Just highlight a folder and right-click. Come down to 'Change permissions' and it'll show you what they are set at.

Well, that should work. All sub-folders the same?

It's almost got to be a 'permission' problem I would think. It created the folders, just didn't upload any of the files. You said the program showed them uploading, then complete, but they are not there. Got to be some setting on your server.

Okay, read this... http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/cpanel/file_manager.htm

Use your cpanel file manager to upload to your web root. Let me know what happens.

Set your permissions to 705.

I actually tried this last night. You actually have to select each file one by one to do this which I did and took me about an hour to do and it did not work. I do not think it is an accurate way to do it because if you happen to miss a file out of the 100s of files the shop will not work and you have to navigate to each folder to upload one by one.
