Howdy Gang! Got a two-parter here.

1) Is it possible to rearrange the products in a category? I want to add a new product, but then push it up to the first product in the category. I don't want to use it as a "Featured Item" or anything like that, I just want to push it to #1. Is this possible?

2) I want to add a sitemap to my shop, and therefore a link to it in the menu at the top of the page and in the footer. I think I've done this before several years ago, but I don't recall how.

I've search around on both of these issues, but neither seem to be possible with a simple solution. Any ideas on either of these?

As always, Thanks in advance!

First question: Yes. In SCCP products can be rearranged simply by dragging/dropping. Simply click and hold on your product and drag it to the first spot.

Second Question: Yes. This can be done several ways and I'll let someone that has a cart explain it for you. If you don't hear anything soon, drop another question here and I'll take a stab at it.

Thanks Gunsmoke. Matter of fact, I was just going to post that I had figured out how to rearrange products. I found it in a thread from a couple of years ago. I had just not gone back that far.

Now I just need to know how to add a link to a sitemap in both the top of the page menu and the footer menu. It will be an external HTML page, NOT a SCCP page. I need to know the page/code to edit to add other links to both menus. I knos ig can be done...but I can't remember how. Anyone? Bueller?

Add an addition page for the site map to your shop.:) As far as the link in the navigation it will appear under the shop home navigation link. Placing it in the footer can be done with the custom markup in the footer under "Your Shop" then "Custom Markup" tab.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

To add a link to the footer, just add in the following code in the Your Shop>Custom Markup>Footer Contents:

<div class="scs_flat_navmenu"><a href="privacy_policy.php">Privacy Policy</a>&#160; | &#160;<a href="terms_conditions.php">Terms & Conditions</a>&#160; | &#160;<a href="rstones2/index.html">rStones 2 Tutorial</a></div>

This will add a second line of footer links into your shop. This is how I add in more pages on my site. Just replace the links and text.

To add it into the main menu that SCCP creates is another story. The easy way is to add a page. But if you have already used the max amount of pages that you can add (5), the only way I know of is to actually edit the pages outside of SCCP. And doing this means that every time you update your shop you'll have to manually update the pages.

Hope this helps.:)

Rolly & Chef: Mucho Appreciado to both of you! Once I saw the custom markup for the footer, it jarred my memory and it's exactly the same way I had done it previously. Now the new links show up both in the TOP menu and the Footer menu as well.

You guys ROCK! Thanks again!

BTW - I added pages thru SCCP for Privacy Policy and Sitemap. However, instead of appearing as seperate links at the top of the page, they are appearng as sub-menu items under the General Stuff link.

Why does this happen, and how can I make it stop? I want SIX (6) links at the top of the page: Home (an external file outside of SCCP), T-Shirt Catalog, Privacy Policy, Cart Contents, and Sitemap. I want six individual links - NOT subcategories. How can this be accomplished?

Thanks!!

Unfortunately you and many others have asked for that issue to be addressed and we're all hoping to see that done in the future updates, but right now they will appear as dropdowns.

Thanks Jo Ann; it's nice to know I'm not the only one beating my head against the wall on this. So I guess I'm stuck with it the way it is, huh? Why does SCCP give you the ability to add pages, but then give you no control over them. Another strike against the program. :-(

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
