I purchase Shopping Cart Creator Pro and loaded my shop. When I went to preview my shop, I received the message:

"This theme is for basic Shopping Cart Creator.
Before you can use this theme with this version of Shopping Cart Creator, it needs to be upgraded to work with the Pro version".

WOW- Does that mean I need to spend another $89.00 to get Shopping cart Designer Pro? !!!

If you want to use the Pro features that are found in Shopping Cart Creator Pro, then you must use Shopping Cart Designer Pro. We have included many Pro themes with Shopping Cart Creator Pro that you can use, but if you want to customize the "pro" features found in SCC Pro then you need Designer Pro.

Shopping Cart Creator Pro and Shopping Cart Designer Pro go together.
Shopping Cart Creator Basic and Shopping Cart Designer Basic go together.

You can also download the trial version of Shopping Cart Designer Pro and give it a test run and see if you like it, but ultimately if you want to use SCC Pro you must have SCD Pro.

Ok, so to clarify...to use a theme in Shopping Cart Creator pro, you HAVE to have Shopping Cart Designer Pro?

I am trying to use the theme: Simplify. Every time I preview the store it shows the photo of keyboard and the text on the theme. The only way I can get rid of that is buy purchasing Shopping Cart Designer Pro?

No! CoffeeCup would never do that to you! Take a deep breath and relax...feel better? Okay, SCCP creates your shopping cart system. SCDP makes it look better! SCDP lets you change and modify different parts of your cart, easily! But it's not the only way, just the 'easy' way.

First, duplicate your theme file so that you have a backup. Your themes should be found at /documents/CoffeeCup Software/Shopping Cart/Themes/ then depending on the theme it could be in one of several directories here. As I said, make a backup. Then rename the theme using .zip as the extension. Open or unzip the archive using a zip utility. Search the folder for the image you wish to change. Replace it with an image of your own, the same size preferably. Then re-zip the archive. Viola! Your image is now in the theme!
