I am the owner of SCCPro and wondered if anyone had any major success using the cart?
I have had mine online for a while and sold less than a hand full of things, no matter what I try, would love to hear other peoples storys and how they managed to get notice (I have used adwords and the like).

I'm over $2k this week, but it's not like people are going to visit my shop because of my software. It's about advertising, good prices, and quality customer service.

My main site does not usually do so well at Christmas, customers leave it too late to order jewellery, and bespoke to order items my site states anticipate up to 3 weeks delivery.

Having said that, last week was my best online xmas week ever took just over £1300.00 in two days

But its been dead as a dodo since then

As with all online enterprises, you have to look at the bigger picture beyond having the appropriate Google friendly meta tags and keywords.

All the usual elements of marketing come into play, of WHO will buy your product and more importantly WHY they will buy your product. Having clear item descriptions, good quality product photos, reasonable shipping prices and good customer service are only part of the requirements to have a successful online presence. Whilst the web opens up a global marketplace, it also brings an immense level of global competition and the owners of a site have to consider how they will differentiate their site AND their offerings from that of the competition.

The biggest single advantage with Shopping Cart Creator is its straight to payment processor architecture, meaning you won't lose any potential customers through overdrawn checkout processes. Customers also have the security of dealing direct with a reputable payment processor rather than an unknown site operator. Whilst it will certainly assist you in the online world, it is just a tool to help entrepreneurs thrive in a highly competitive environment. Success all comes down to the product or service you are offering, the size of the market for it and why customers will spend money with your enterprise, rather than with your competitors.

I took a risk with SCC on one of my sites as I really wanted customers to go straight out to the payment processor, rather than fill forms on my site. For me and for that particular site, it was a good move.

Thank you all for your replies, I think my META tags and descriptions need sorting, does anyone know how to create meta tags for the main page (ie. what customers see when they first log on).

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I won't call it success until I can quit my day job, but my site is taking a few orders a week. It's harder to promote a site that only targets industrial buyers. Largest single order about $2500.00.

I set up a new site just about 3 months ago, trying to promote a new service as i am now providing laser engraving, for family crests, coats of arms, company logo's, but also wedding rings.

This is very specialised, and quite expensive so i wanted to have a site dedicated to it as it needs lots of pages with clear explanations.

Delorean in my signature, I am pleased to announce it has taken off quite nicely and made good use of streams, I am hoping this will be the bulk of my income for 2012.

I think in some way this clarifies the benefit of buying programs like SCCP SCDP & VSD where they can be used again and again, all for that initial one off fee , a success in both my learning to do my own website design, and also in achieving on line sales as well.

Hi Bren, thanks so much, I have the sitemap thing from coffee cup, will get that run again, problem is it keeps freezing on me, will have another go now though and get it all linked etc.

Thanks for the info :-)

Sitemapper used to freeze on me while scanning. I found that by turning off my firewall it would scan without a problem. Just remember to turn the firewall back on after you finish with the scan.
