Hey Lar,

I know I'm late to the party but I thought I would suggest a secondary menu system for your wife. I have recently been asked by one of my clients to find a solution as she wanted more options than allowed for menus on the SC. Here is what I have come up with for her so far. Please note this site is still being developed so it is not complete, but it will give you the idea I was telling you about.

Very Nice layout Steve, thanks for the advice/example. I'm still trying to understand how SCCP can be modified outside of the software. With the tailoring that you've done it looks like you modify the webpage after uploading your inventory. Which brings me to a big question in my understanding of inventory updates: How do you keep your webpage tailoring unchanged by SCCP uploads? I hope I'm making this question clear...
Thanks Again

Hey Lar,

Everything I did there was using the SCCP and SCDP. Do you have the Shopping Cart Designer?

I also used Menu Builder for the menu and added it within the application itself.

Oh and for some of the google fonts i have created a custom.css file and make changes there.

Ah! So SCCP doesn't overwrite the added menu because as you seem to indicate you add those extra features through SCCP and SCDP(which I do have)?

That's right, if you like I can put a short tutorial on how to add a menu like that to a SCC project. Have you ever tried editing in pages mode in SCC? Have you ever played with the custom markup tab?

These are a few things you have to tweak to get this menu showing up. The only thing I used the designer for was to push everything down a bit to make room for the menu.

Yeah, I've played with it some -- at Eric Rohloff's prompting. That's how I got the 'Contact' item to exist on the top level of the menu.
In my experience, you can only have one 'extra' item on the navbar by taking the SCCP 'Pages' and renaming the 'Home' to "whatever", mine is 'Town Locations'.
Anyway, I wanted the 'Contact' on the top-level (instead of under Shop Home) so Eric suggested some markup at his tutorial page (http://progrower.coffeecup.com/shop/vie … groupid=43) which I used to get the Contact to sit at the top level.
I also put the "AddThis" Share button on the cart via SCCP's Custom Markup feature.

Thanks for the offer of a tutorial, I will appreciate anything you can show me in the 'How to do' department. My skills are limited -- a lot of my time is consumed in trial and error attempts, since this ol' guy is not used to creating my own code but rather 'modifying/hacking' code I've found online :)

Eric, I am new to the forum and have been reading about the Horizontal Menu for help with my SCCP cart on my site. I have used the SCDP to allow for 4 pages and I know that it allows 5 which I want to have finally. My menu only shows 3 pages in line Shop Home, Categories, View Cart with my Policies page only showing under the Shop Home when you hover. I have made the area in the menu wider to allow for all pages to show but they do not. My hope is to get the code in so that I will have a link to the main site also show.
I have read your answers to others for correcting this problem and find that I am unsure of where to insert the code as I’m not seeing the files labeled as you state (or I am unsure of where) I am using Dreamweaver as my HTML editor as I am familiar with that program.
My site is www.crochet4all.com/shop
Thank you for the help you have given everyone and in advance for the help you are giving me.
PS: I am only viewing this in Chrome so I don’t know how it is showing in FF or IE.
Pat
