Hello, I am a beginner and have developed my site in Publisher 2003. I am a registered user and using Shopping Cart Creator 3.9. I have created list boxes for my candle sizes, candle color and candle patterns in Publisher 2003. I will also need to be able to designate a quantity.

Will I be able to utilize these "list boxes" from my web site in Publisher? Will my customers be able to use the list boxes in Publisher and it work some how in Shopping Cart? I have entered our basic candle sizes in SC but I need for my customers to be able choose colors options, patterns and sizes.

If not please direct me on how to develop list boxes in SC,

Thank you, Bonnie

Hi bontek. There's probably a way to accomplish this. Post an update on your test run and if you need some assistance.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hiya Bontek,

I'll assume you discovered the Optional Field settings which sound like what you will need to use for your products. Unfortunately, although you "can" put the list boxes on your product pages, they will not be able to be incorporated into the actual cart settings for the purchases. Setting up the Optional Fields (although it's extra work since you already have the list boxes completed) should fix your issue, and you should be able to copy and paste the information from the code of your list boxes so you don't have to retype it all.

Keep in mind that since you're using the Pro version, you'll also be able to take advantage of the Inventory features. The drawback unfortunately, is that the Inventory feature at this time only does one lump sum of inventory for all Optional Fields and the original product. It's unable to keep an Inventory for each of the Optional Fields and the original product separately. For some people this is a major issue, and for others that have a fairly unlimited inventory it doesn't pose a problem. You'll have to decide how it works for you on your own.

Good luck with it and as Eric already said, let us know if you need more assistance. :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
