Shipping value update issues - Post...
Hi guys,
I have been trying to update the shipping costs for a shop we built a while back but no matter what I do it still uses the old values in the live shop. I don't mind updating some code manually if I need to but thought I would mention it in case I have misunderstood something. Currently I am changing the shipping values in the shop settings and then hitting publish...
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Toby.

Hiya Toby,
Just to be sure it's not a site cache issue, be sure to clear your browser cache to see if the changes show up then. Let us know so we can help a little further if that's not the issue.
The reason for this is that sometimes browsers (well lots of times) put a copy of your website and it's content and images on your computer so that you don't have to reload them each time and download them and waste your bandwidth loading the same things over and over. The problem though is that sometimes it gets stuck and won't recognize changes so a good practice to do if you don't see your changes is to clear your browser cache. That is usually the issue if your changes are not showing on the website once uploaded, not always mind you, but most of the time

I thought exactly that to start with but I have tried on different browsers and computers here and it's still not updated. Is there a way to force a complete reload? I am wondering if that would be the easiest way to sort it...
Yes you can use an ftp program or log into your server cpanel and delete the entire directory that you created for the shop and then republish it.
Thanks Jo,
I have done that and all fine now!
Many thanks

Awesome, glad that worked for you and good luck with the shop
