I am interested in using sccpro for selling prints of prints online. I have gone through the forums and have not seen the answer to these questions.

I would like to show an image but sell 5 different sizes of it for 5 different prices from the same product page. Like shirt sizes but a price for s, med, l xl etc etc . IE: this is available as 1- 4x6 $2, 1- 5x7 $4, 1- 8x10 $8, 1- 11x14 $16

I would like to upload up to 500 images from an event and have the file name show because that is how the image/product will be identified.

I would like to have the above relatively automated. Don't mind having to do some data entry but cannot create a product for each single image

Do you want a preview of each size print?

No just a preview of the image. No need at this time to have multiple previews. I will use the image cropped the most ie:8x10 or 11x14 (proportionally) for the customer to view.

The easiest way for creating products when you have similar ones is to copy the entire product and paste it in the same category or another category or wherever you want it. This will copy all the formatting, all the information and all you need to do is alter the text to accommodate that particular new product you entered. That saves a lot of entry time. Just highlight the entire product box inside the category, copy, paste, done. Pretty simple and a nice feature to save a bit of time.

There is no "automation" for most things Tom, it's all needing to be done by you or whoever you have do it. But the copy paste method will save a lot of time.

In order to do the first thing you asked about for sizing you would use the option field for that on the right side (might have the name wrong, haven't looked at it for a while. You can create up to 5 different options on your product and each option can contain unlimited selections within it so....

If you want 5 different sizes you would create an option for something like "Choose Your Size" and then inside that option add the different sizes. You'll definitely need to be using the Pro version of Cart Creator for this to work. On the right side of each option add the price you want "ADDED" to the original price of the original product.
**NOTE** It is a good idea here to put the smallest priced option as the main product and build up from there in the Options.

This will then add that new price to the original product price to create the correct price for that particular choice in the Option.

Hope that made sense and holler if you need more assistance on it and I'll try to do some screenshots.

I really appreciate the help. Just to be clear though I can duplicate pages but will have to manually bring each image into the page and name the product manually with the file name?

Sigh...that's just not going to work for me. The prefered method is to upload the files in a batch and run it all together. This would be to much work for speculation photo shoots.

The images are vague as of yet to know how to tell you what to do with them since I'm not exactly clear on what you are planning to use them for. Are they photos of your products for each of the products themselves or are you doing a photo page for them? Can you be more specific on what you plan to use the photos for?

As for the images for the products that's really easy. All the product areas are drag and droppable so you can drag and drop your images right from the folder if you have it open, or you can navigate to that folder and insert them etc.

The problem though with the product photo setup is that they do not keep the original naming of the files. SCC programs do rename all the files that it uses so that it can follow it's sequencing more efficiently. Yes I agree this is a hassle, and I too wish it would keep the original file names and just add an extension or something so you can find them easier, but unfortunately that is not the case.

The good news is that all the product pages, details pages, site pages, etc. that SCC programs create now have really nice SEO systems built in that allow you to be very creative with the SEO so your products can be found easier.

Give us a bit more detail on how you intend to use the photos and we'll see if we can help you work out a way to get that automated, but don't hold your breath on it if it's product images for the product pages you are talking about as you'll need to insert each one separately into each product. There's no way for the program to know which photos you want to go with which products. All the uploading is done for you which is pretty automated, but the footwork does remain yours.

If you are needing something outside the product pages, that might be a bit easier to work with so let us know

Tom your going to need to create a seperate product for each photo for sure. The option for size for each photo can be handled with th SCCP.

It's funny how sometimes the you get so lost in an idea you assume everyone else can easily see what you are after. Yes I am planning on selling my photos from speculation jobs. ie: go to an event, photograph anything and everything and let the particpants log on later and oder prints in the sizes and quantities they want . Ther are several programs that all ready do this but I do have a soft spot for CC programs so I want to try here first. One of the best program ishttp://www.picturespro.com
They have a very slick and smooth system. I wanted to use CC though so I might use the cart program for other products at a later date, gotta love those free updates!
