Scott: In my earlier post I put in the wrong letters to refer to the program. I used SCD and should have used SCC. I have Shopping Cart Creator 3.8 and Shopping Cart Designer Pro 3.8. I was trying to refer to the new release of Shopping Cart Creator Pro. Sorry for my confusion. (I did update my earlier post)

In your response you noted that after the release date the discount would not apply. Is that for Shopping Cart Creator Pro?

Yes, that is correct. The $79 is a special upgrade price that is available for a very limited amount of time. Once SCC Pro is live for all users, you will then have to pay retail price.

Okay, cool this is great news. Now you can end your hunger strike. Eat man eat. :D

I just received my email with the offer, and see here in the thread you are offering the upgrade price if you call. I'm cool with all of that. My question is regarding the pre-release possible bugs. It says I can open my shop in SCC & SCC Pro, so the Pro version, when loaded, won't uninstall SCC??

And I won't want to publish until others have tested it out (I'm a chicken :P), but at least I can start building!

I want to clarify I can have two shops - one actively being published in SCC, and one behind the scenes in SCC Pro.

This is NOT A BETA, it is a pre-release to all existing SCC users. We are just giving existing customers a special discount and a head start on using the Pro version. Yeah, that is just how nice we are! :)

If any issues are found, just open a support ticket and we will make sure they are fixed. As always, the updates are free. You can also have SCC Basic and SCC Pro installed at the same time. Just don't work on the same shop in both versions. Make a copy of your shop for the pro version so you can keep the data files separate.

You also don't need to publish to your primary website, just upload them to a test folder on your server so you can look it over.

Thanks Scott. Expect a call from me one day soon. I'm sure you'll be waiting.

And I did mean to say also, you are a nice Company. That is hard to find these days. :)

Hiya Bren,

Just making sure you are understanding that that $50 upgrade price that he gave for calling in is for the Designer Pro not for the Creator Pro. Just wanted to make sure so you didn't get disappointed when/if you called. They've done the "call for the upgrade for the Designer Pro" thing for quite a while so people could upgrade from the Basic to the Pro version of Designer, but that's not for the Creator. Creator right now is for the $79 deal which will be quite a lot higher after it's released. :)

Am certainly going to purchase it with the special offer, but just a small a few questions :)

Will the shopping cart designer (pro designer) also have an update so it works with the new shopping cart pro version?

How to import shops created with the shopping cart creator imported into the new shopping cart pro? Or do we have to create them all over?

I understand the old shopping cart version and new pro version can run next to each other? How does one then install the new pro version so it does not clash with the old version?

Already have been out for a week. :)

Before doing this be sure to back up your shop files so you always can go back and don't lose them etc. After that, just open the shop in the new Pro version and that's it! It's now imported. As has been suggested by Scott and a few others, don't work on your main shop right now with it, make another directory and upload this one to a test directory online until you have it ready to go and make sure there are no leftover little bugs which shouldn't be much if there are. This way your production shop isn't losing anything while you work on this one to get it ready. Lots of new toys to play with on this one :)

The Pro version installs to it's own separate directory so it doesn't do anything at all with the Basics so you're free to install it straight out, don't need to do anything special for directories :)
