I'm having trouble with my SCCPro cart when returning from Paypal Web Payments Standard in that the shopping cart isn't cleared. Have seen a couple of related threads here but nothing seems to help.
I have enabled Auto Return and specified the location of checkoutpps.php as the return URL.
The payment process seems to proceed just fine and brings me back to the cart summary, but the contents are still there.
The other strange thing .... in my PayPal profile is setup some customization of the Paypal page - company logo and a pink shaded background. Neither of those are appearing on the Paypal payment page. It's as if I might have gone to the wrong Paypal site ... is that possible?
Given that I set up my Paypal profile on the Australian Paypal pages, is there something I need to change in the shopping cart code to match this?
Any ideas appreciated!

Well a link to your shop would really help Garry.
Also, any customizations you made in PayPal are completely ignored by SCC.
As to the currency, you need to match that inside of SCC with the exact same currency as in PayPal, so you probably have to set them to Australian.

doh! yes, of course
Home page is here http://www.yum-o.com.au
Shop is here http://www.yum-o.com.au/yum-o_shop/
I'm pretty sure I have the currencies set to AUD in both places.

I found your issue:
http://www.yum-o.com.au/yum-o_shop/ccda … ertest.php
Writable Directory Test
WARNING - Could not open './../store/test.tmp' for writing. Some Shopping Cart Creator Pro functionality (e.g. the stock control) and some payment gateways (all except PayPal and Google Checkout) depend on being able to store data on the server. You should not ignore this warning
For some reason the ccdata/store folder does not have read/write/inherit permissions. You need to correct this and your shop will work as good as gold!

The ccdata/store folder did not exist. Should SCPro automatically create this?
So, I created ccdata/store folder and gave it all read/write/execute permissions. But the same problem still exists. It still brings me back to the page that has the cart summary and allows me to proceed to payment.

Yes, that folder is automatically created when you upload your shop through Shopping Cart Creator. How do you upload your shop to your server?
After payment is made, you are still stuck in PayPal like you said. This probably has some setting in your PayPal account settings, but do be honest I have no clue what that would be. I have never seen that before in any shop. Not sure if you should get an award for this or what.
You may want to poke around in your PayPal settings for a while and see if you can find something in there. Maybe even try switching to PayPal Express and see how it works. The Auto Return URL should be just http://www.yum-o.com.au/yum-o_shop/

All very strange. I'm usually quite open to awards, but I'll opt out for this one
For the uploads, I use the publish button from SCCPro and publish to remote folder /www/yum-o_shop/
I also use the 'Export Shop for Upload Button' to publish to a local Wamp server to for testing. Same result with that .... it doesn't create a ccdata/store folder.
Anyhow, I tried changing various Paypal settings:
- used the Auto Return URL you suggested
- switched OFF the Paypal Account Optional
- switched OFF the Display "Add Instructions to Seller" field
I can't see much more to tinker with

Just had a thought. I will try the Paypal Sandbox to see if there's a difference.
What we can do next Garry e-mail me FTP access to your server and I will upload a shop from here with my PayPal info. If it works on your server, then we know it simply has to do with your PayPal account.
Send me the info to scott@coffeecup.com and I will run some tests over the weekend.

Thanks Scott .. will do.
BTW, I just tested with Sandbox and it worked fine.
Will send you the details.
