According to Danish law prices must be shown incusive of the VAT (tax), but you must also be able to see the VAT, when you view the cart.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this can be done in Shopping Cart Creator Pro?

Thank you very much.
It's a kind of magic!

Very few carts would conform to every international requirements for all the individual countries out there. Where that level of functionality exists within a cart, it is usually by means of a custom written add on module either provided by someone in the cart's community or as a paid commercial offering.

The only practical way to achieve what you want in Cart Creator, is by putting a message on the cart page stating the prices include VAT and the VAT element can be worked out by....

There is currently no way to extract the VAT from the total sales price and show it as a separate element on the cart page.

Problem is Tom, most European countries have VAT, but the way it implemented and the requirements for displaying the VAT element vary from country to country. Most retail sites show VAT inclusive prices, most business sites show VAT exclusive prices, as it's generally only VAT registered businesses that can claim that VAT back.

Unfortunately some of us have to spend our lives working around the law, otherwise nothing would ever get done.

So you violate the law in order to use a canned shopping cart?

Think of being in a Danish 'bricks and mortar' retail shop Tom. You've picked up all your goods that have VAT inclusive prices, you get to the till and come to pay. By the letter of the law that till SHOULD show the VAT element BEFORE you pay if Magic's statement is correct. I am guessing that the VAT element is shown as a separate breakdown on the till receipt however.

Business is all about finding practical ways to implement a product or service.
