Proper spacing between cart pics and...
Aside from being very vigilant in the width of your pictures, is there a properties box (or something similar) where you can adjust your cart page text a few pixels away from your image? I was playing with a cart tonight and haven't seen a place to make this adjustment. Not having it makes for less than a pro looking cart. See attachment for what I'm talking about and thanks.
Hiya Chris,
Anything that you want to change that has to do with the "styling" of your cart would need to be done using the Shopping Cart Designer Pro program. All the settings for spacing and images and sizing and you name it are all in that program for your theme. You would then just export the theme to SCCP to use and good to go.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, JoAnn. Know of any good tutorials by chance on using Designer Pro? The help file pdf didn't seem to shed much light on this.
No I sure don't, have you tried checking out the CC articles on the Support Articles? Might find some good info there, might not too lol, but it's worth a try
If you don't find your answers there and still need help on how to do this, just post a reply and I'm sure someone will have some answers for you

Designer gives you many options, take it from a non coder ME !
I played and played for the fun of it for hours, ended up with this as an example

The the grey and white background object is an image i produced with VSD, after creating a set space for it with SCDP, which in turn re positioned the text and spacing. With careful image sizing i can also get rid of horrible white edges (see further down page)
best instruction :: put aside a few hours and play with a trial shop.

You site looks great, Viv. I haven't found Designer to be too intuitive yet. Guess I'll prod around some more. Thanks
You can get interesting results for example by changing the border around images.
Instead of uniform size top bottom left right, change it so top and left are 5 right and bottom 50
then you can edit the text sizes too, for the new provided space.

One of the main things to keep in mind, especially if you're not a coder (can't remember if you are or not Chris) is a couple main things about spacing. There are basically 2 main settings for spacing, padding and margin and I'll tell ya I had the hardest time understanding the difference between the 2 till I did a little CSS course and it finally clicked. Here's how I remember it now:
Padding: The spacing that is within a container. So if you have a Container for SCCP that contains lets say all the images (large one and the 4 extras) that would be the one main container. Within that container the padding would be what goes between those pictures.
Margin: The spacing between containers. This would be what goes between let's say the Menu container that holds the entire menu, and the main container that holds the Banner/Logo. Or maybe the space between the Image container mentioned above and the Title box container.
Padding is inside containers, Margin is outside containers. Hopefully that helps a little bit
