Problems with product options... -...
Hey everyone,
I've been working through some issues I'm having with my store with help from Scott, but haven't really found a solution, or the cause of the issue for that matter! Let's see if anyone has an answer...
I have various products set-up on my store. Each product has a list of options, for example
OLIVE OIL - bottle options: 100ml, 200ml, 500ml.
The problem is, that when choosing anything other than the first item on the list (100ml in this case), the chosen option does not display in the cart and is not carried through to the order details.
This is causing me a massive headache, as my client needs to be able to see which option his customers are choosing, in order to post the correct item!
I've also made a simple, two product dummy store where the products are tshirts and shorts.
Each product has colour choices that do not affect the price. Still the options don't show in the cart unless it's the top option. I've tried unchecking the 'require user to choose' control and still it doesnt work!! The thing that's confusing me most, is that CoffeeCup's own swag store has exactly this functionality, in full working order - why won't it work for me??

So far it seems no one knows anything about this issue at all. I've seen a few SCC users stores now -most of which use the additional options functionality without problems. Does anyone have any idea what it is that I'm doing wrong??
As an update to my problem so far... I have since built a new test store on a completely different computer, using tshirts as the product with colour options. When the product is added to the cart the colour option chosen will not display in the cart (unless it's the top item from the drop down list).
Even on a new machine this is not working...at all.
Please, anyone got any suggestions...??

Jack - Just a heads up... This forum is more of a user base support group rather than an OFFICIAL CoffeeCup Support tool. Often times folks here can (and definitely will) help out with even the screwiest of problems. BUT there are times that everyone just misses out.
Your best bet, is to open a support ticket, that will put you directly in touch with the knowledgeable staff at CC. There are several members of the staff that do linger here pretty frequently, but it is possible that this message somehow evaded them (first I'd seen your posting).
After they have helped you out, it would be really great if you would come back to this thread and update it for us ALL.

Jack, we talked about this issue over support on the weekend and I was able to confirm the issue with you. Our developers have already fixed the issue and we are testing new installers out today. If all goes well, there will be an update later in the afternoon that you can download.

Hiya JB,
Any time that CC updates any software it can be found in the downloads area of the Support area on the menu. If you have purchased the program they updated, it will show up there with green dates on the right to show it's been updated recently and that you have not yet downloaded the most recent update. Once you download it the site detects this and it will change the text to show black text for the date. This way you can always be sure if you have the most recent version downloaded or not. Hope that helps
