Problem with Scandinavian currencies...

Some time ago I mentioned that the Scandinavian currencies are called DKK for Danish Kroner, NOK for Norwegian Kroner and SEK for Swedish Kronor, and this was corrected in the Your Shop Settings under General, so I didn't check any further.

Now that I need to actually use it, it turns out that the change isn't consistent. In the actual program, i.e. prices etc. Danish Kroner are shown as Dkr and Norwegian and Swedish Kronor are shown as kr.

This has got to be changed to DKK, NOK and SEK respectively!

You people and your funny currencies. :)

I will pass this along to our developers and see if we can look into this for the 3.9 update.

However, according to Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_krone NOK and kr are acceptable and for SEK, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_krona kr and SEK are both acceptable.

Well, in the Foreign Exchange Currency world (which is probably more authoritative than Wikipedia) :P

It's DKK, NOK, SEK. It is the only absolute way with out symbols to specify exactly which currency.

Hi Scott,

Thanx. I hope 3.9 is released before 5:00 PM (or 17:00, as we say in the funny part of the world) this afternoon.

Please note also that we usually place the currency in front of the numbers with one space in between, i.e. DKK 1.795,00 (in the funny part of the world, comma is the decimal separator and point is thousand separator, but I think Windows handles that, though not always very well).

Hi Scott,

I entered a reply this morning concerning the missing DKK, NOK and SEK, which have not been changed.

I would have thought that this should be a question of 24 milliseconds work using find and replace in the source code.

Have you had a breakdown, 'caused another posting I made this morning has disappeared, too.

DKK, NOK and SEK are listed currencies in version 3.9.

Yes, they are listed, but when you use them, your products are Dkr. 999,- if it's Danish Kroner, and kr. if it's Norwegian or Swedish money.

It's supposed to say DKK, NOK and SEK everywhere.

You can change the currency character to anything you like. Just check the box "Use custom symbol:"
