Hi Everyone,

I asked a few weeks ago about how to have my images fit perfectly in the square in my shop. I was told to crop the images to 300 x 300.

I have found that as long as the pictures are square they will fit in the box perfectly no matter the size. Also, for those of you wanting to save time and not have to use it cropping you can buy a camera like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 which is the one I bought and it automatically already shoots the images square. You just have to move the switch on the lense to 1:1 and no more cropping and more time dedicated to marketing or your website. Just a few ideas that maybe might help someone.

Best,
Carlos

By the way here is a link to one of my listings that I took my pictures with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5. As you can see it looks much more professional when your images fit perfectly in the square as opposed to having to add a background which takes more time.

The following link is of pictures I have not yet fixed to make fit perfectly in the square. The main image I had to add a black background and as you can see from the smaller images under the main picture have a white background which looks unprofessional.

Just a few tip that I wanted to share if it helps or not.

This is my new project, created using SCCP. Fantastic bit of software and great support from CC.

You can get some very professional results without the price tag of some of the server side extensions. Would fully recommend to any beginner/intermediate level designers.

Aled, nice to see a local in here, actually nicely done with SCC i guess you will be dumping Zen Cart soon

One little thing the email link being a live link is a great way of getting tons of spam, you might want to change that before it goes viral when you hit top page ranking.

CC new webform builder is worth a look as it does a nice html form with some extra options thrown in, like paypoo integration.

looking good

Hiya Aled and welcome to the Forums! Very nice shop too, nice creative title for the Shop Menu, gives a nice clue that there are probably other items below it which is one thing others are always trying to combat. Well done! :)
