Possible to add a sub sub category?

So im creating my first shopping cart and im having a lot of fun doing so while also learning a ton. Of course im using shopping cart creator pro and shopping cart designer pro. My main issue is that I need to have a sub category within a sub category if that makes any sense at all. Ive done a lot of searching and havent been able to find any similar questions or info on this subject. Im hoping this is a possibility because it would be a very important aspect of my shop.

Here is a demo for what i am trying to achieve...

(Demo Menu)

->Cats (being my category)
-->Cat food (being my subcategory)
--->Cat Food Brand Name (Being my subcategory within my subcategory)

and within the "Cat Food Brand Name" category would lie my products for that brand name. Any way of making this happen? Please please please be an option! Thanks in advance i look forward to figuring this out! :D

I could give a huge explanation and run on and on telling you ultimately in the end NO!;)
It's been a request of many and your next in line. Sorry.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Ugh that's quite a let down! I'm going to give this a large amount of thought now. My shop will have well over a thousand products and im not sure a category and a sub category are going to cut it for organization and ease of use. Ahh well back to the drawing board. :/

Well thanks for the quick and informative response. You've always been helpful!

A couple of users integrated two or more shops together but the carts won't be tied together so I think you would confuse customers and ultimately lose them.:)

Yes, many of us have long requested a nested categories feature. I split my shop into several carts and provide links to other carts in each cart, rather messy. Perhaps someday......nested categories and I can once again combine my carts into one.......

I had the same issue with my website (www.lightbulbsandfixtures.com). My workaround was to basically skip the first category level and start from there.
Instead of:
> Light bulbs
> CFL, Halogen, LED, etc
> (individual sub categories)

I just made each sub category a main category and added the breakdowns as sub categories, hope it helps.

Hi Sally, I would highly doubt that Coffeecup will make any changes to the existing Shopping Cart Creator as they are moving toward a more responsive frame work of Software. I did hear rumours that they will be coming out with a New software that creates responsive shopping carts and will include a lot of new features, this may even be one of them. I have asked for some details in the past but they are pretty tight lipped about letting any of their surprises out of the bag! :D
