ok you guys are amazing as usual. Thanks so much for checking out the payment options, that's very cool and I am so relieved! whew.

on the hosting, can the shopping cart be a subdomain in the website that I'm using it for? I'm kinda lost on this??? how do you guys do this? I haven't gotten to the point of adding my ftp info but how do I get that?

re: shipping question, when I go to set the rates for shipping according to weight, there is international and all the states listed, there doesn't seem to be a way to just put US and territories or whatever, instead for each value I have to plug that into each state, that's 50 times X the number of rates I have, whew!!

how can I change it to be just the states/territories, and APO/FPO, and international

muchas gracias!

As far as where you publish your shop it's your choice. Sub domain should be doable as any sub directory. The weight base shipping will probably need a new custom list.

As Eric pointed out, you can have your own custom list. Just select 'Shipping', then 'weight based', then click on 'Edit Locations'. Instead of picking one of the pre-defined lists, click that little green plus(+) and create a listed called 'US & Territories'. Or whatever you want. Then define the rates for that.

You can publish your cart into any directory on your server. If you create a sub-domain, you can use that too. You define a sub-domain on your server. It varies from server to server. On my GoDaddy server a sub-domain is still just a sub-directory. It's just a matter of how you access it.

gunsmoke.me is my domain.
gunsmoke.me/shop would be a sub-directory
shop.gunsmoke.me would be a sub-domain

I copy files to a sub-domain the same way I do to a sub-directory.
Hope that helps some...
