Can anyone come up with some ideas on why this is happening on my site?
http://www.artycraftycreations.com/shop/index.php
All the images have gone missing.
Up until a few days ago I had the store on the CC S-Drive space where it all worked brilliantly, but it seemed the easy way out. I have always had issues of one kind or another with uploading, and thought it was about time to sort them out.
So...removed the store from the S-Drive space and made a few updates to products in the application...saved as "export" for uploading (publish has never worked for me) and then used the external ftp (my long standing Direct FTP version 6.2) to upload everything.
And for some reason all the images have disappeared. They are in the correct folder on the server, but are just not showing up. I am totally baffled and at a loss as how to move next.
All suggestions (that is not for you Tom  ) are welcome. :(

Yes they do...and also in preview. But I have just noticed something very strange in the ftp...about half of the images have both a png and a jpg extension (on the server). Can't imagine how that happened...
For instance...
catimage22.png.jpg
Could this be causing confusion? The file type is shown as a jpg effectively, but having that .png in there also. What do you think?

I think you should just use S-Drive. ;)

If you manually export, look on your local computer and see if you notice the same jpg and png issue. If they are not local, then you know the issue is on the server.

I just did that and was trying to attach a screenshot which has disappeared into the ether zone.
Yes...I see that there are files with the .png extension which show as jpg file types locally. One of the reasons I wanted to get back and try out my regular server was because I noticed that a potential customer...in this case my husband...attempting to make a purchase for some reason Paypal wouldn't allow him to enter a different country than the US and as a consequence he was unable to make a payment at all. I was doing a control to see if this had anything to do with having a US server...ie, S-Drive.
