I have some problems with my web store right now, and have not found the soloutions yet, I hope someone on this forum knows the answer and can help me.

The first problem appears when customers try to pay in my web-store. When clicking the 'Check out with PayPal' button, an error message appears: Error while storing data: Index file exists, but it's contents is not accessible.

I am no good with software like this, so I hoped that the problem would be fixed if I updated my store (haha, easy fix)
But it didn't. Instead another problem appeared: When trying to publish my shop again, I got a message saying: Failed to check license for theme: themePath cannot b empty, and a link to where I can buy the Shopping Cart designer Pro.

I guess that the two problemes I experience is related to one another. But I have not figured out how to solve the problems. Does anybody know what I can try to do?

When I bought the Shopping cart designer pro and Shopping cart Creater pro, I thought that I could use them for as long as I wanted, without having to buy new programs or license. Is that wrong? And another question; I've used two of my licenses and have only one left, which I plan to use on my new computer when my current PC dies.. If the solutions to the problems I have today is to uninstall the software and reinstall, I will have to use my last license, can I in the future buy 1 or 2 licenses and not the whole software programs for shopping cart and shopping designer?

Please excuse my bad English..

You can use them, for ever. Not sure what started this problem but you might want to open a support topic with CoffeeCup. That way the tech guys can answer your question. Just go to your name on the top menu and scroll down to 'Your Support Room' and open a topic. They should be able to help you. If you can, post back here later and let us know what fixed it in case other users have the same problem. Good luck.
Oh, can you post a link to your shop? That way some of our users can look at it and might be able to help you better. Thanks. (And your English sounds good to me!)

Våppi,

I don't use the shopping cart programs so I cannot help you with the error messages you are seeing. But maybe I can clarify a couple of general things about Coffeecup software 'licenses' and such:
If you bought the SCCP and SCDP programs, then you own them and can use them as long as you want. There is no time-limited license involved at all. You will also have access to free upgrades for the life of the programs.
As for the 'three licenses' that you mentioned, I'm assuming that you're referring to the fact that you can use any registered Coffeecup software on three different computers that are under your personal control. You will not be using up any 'licenses' by uninstalling and reinstalling the software. You can do that as many times you need to. the only limitation is that you can only have the software installed on three machines at any one time.

PS: Just when I am about to post this, I noticed that Gunsmoke had already covered about the same ground in his reply... But I didn't want to miss this rare opportunity to actually type the 'å' in your name, so I'm posting anyway! ;)

Not a physical one... ;)
- Just the windows emulation: EN(US) as default and then PT, SV, FR, DE for when they are needed...

Hi again!

The problems are solved now. It was not Coffecup that was causing the problems, but my web hotel host :o)

After posting my issue, I got SUPERFAST answer from Coffecup (they must be the BEST customer support EVER)
Anyway, the problem was (cut & paste):
Because your server is a WIndows IIS/7.5 (not Linux) the permissions appear to be setup incorrectly.
You will need to log into your hosting control panel and set the permissions on that folder to read/write.
