I did a search but can not find a detailed instruction on creating and importing csv file into sccp. Maybe I am using the wrong search terms :)

I did find the example but it doesn't make any sense to me since some of my products have no options.

Any help appreciated.

If you go to the File Menu and select "Import From csv" it will bring up this dialog. Clicking the blue "?" will then bring up another dialog with more detailed information.

I thought I read somewhere else that this is a one time thing at the creation of the store. Can we add more products on an ongoing process using CSV import?

No, you cannot add additional products to a shop through the import function at this time.

That's too bad. It sure would be convenient to add multiple products at a time instead one at a time.

Scott ... to be clear ... do you mean to say that if you have a shop that currently has 300 product records and that if you run a .CSV import with a handful of product records, say 5, you won't end up with shop containing 305 product records?

That is correct. At this time you can only import from a CSV file to a new shop. It cannot import into an existing shop.

Scott .... thanks for the clarification .... Next question .... is it possible to look at each .CSV import as a wholesale replacement for the shop? To use my previous example. If if have a shop with 300 products and import a .CSV file with 305 products (300 original products + 5 additional ones) will I end up with a shop containing the 305 products (with all their various attributes) in my shop? That way I can just maintain a .CSV file representing my shop and make any changes I want to the .CSV file and import it. Very handy if I want to make global changes like raising all prices by 10% for example.

Not right now. Each time you try to import a file it must be to a new shop. I am pretty sure we will eventually make it work the way you are describing though.
