How to manually adjust stock levels...

Hi again :)

I sold some items but not through the site shop. I thought it would be a simple matter of setting the inventory level in 'More Options' to zero thus triggering an out of stock label to be displayed (which I have set and works well when items are sold out after sales on the site). Although I have tried this several times the items still show as in stock.

I have definitely overwritten the files on the server and it is not a cache issue with the browser. I can update the inventory within the SCC Pro software and it shows the inventory as zero but online the stock level still remains at 10 :(

Help !!!!

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

You must have figured it out because when I tested putting thing in my cart on your shop, the inventory level would drop and when I depleted it the sold out sign was posted.:)

Hiya Titus,

Make sure that you do the update that the cart software has within it for updating the inventory before you set it manually so that it's gathering the current information from your site for inventory. Once you do that all you should have to do is change the inventory number to the desired number (in this case zero) and upload and that should fix it. If that's not working then something isn't updating correctly as there isn't' anything special other than that that you need to do to update the inventory.

Do keep in mind that if you are trying to adjust inventory of a "Optional Field" item that this will not reflect on the site. Optional Field items are all considered part of the inventory of the original product so they are not adjustable.

If you still have issues with this I would suggest opening a support ticket and seeing if the CC team can give you a hand.

Hi

Eric, the inventory is fine and works well providing purchases are made on the site, it is when I try and adjust the inventory manually I have problems eg. update the inventory from within the SCC programme then adjust the stock numbers manually and upload the new files to my server.

Jo Ann, I am sure I have updated the inventory before trying to do a manual adjustment but I will try again as your suggestion.

Thanks for your replies :)

I'm brand new to this, and I'm having trouble with the inventory feature. I'm trying to set different inventory amounts per size. As I don't have (say) 5 of each size, how do I set it up to track individual SKU's?
