Help with Category Limitations - Post...

I am building a website that will have over 600 products in it when all is said and done. The categories need to go 3 levels but SCCP can only do 2. I am trying to work around this but am having a hard time. I was hoping maybe to get some suggestions from other users.

I have 8 main categories, 23 sub categories and 41 sub sub categories.

The names of all the sub categories and sub sub categories are long. It would look unprofessional to abbreviate.

I am including a screen shot of how it looks without being able to break it down to 3 levels. It doesn't look pretty.

Any suggestions are welcome.

How about having two shops.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I would really like to do that but I would need everything to point to only 1 checkout page. I am going to be using Paypal and Authorize.net for checkout. Is there a way to merge more than 1 shop together and have them all going to one checkout location? I have scoured the forums and it seems like it has been said that there is no way to do this.

If you know of a way, that would be awesome!

Unfortunately no Cheryl, each shop is a separate entity so there isn't a real way to "merge" the checkouts, only to merge the sites themselves via menus and such.

Yeah, that won't work. I don't think my customer would like that. Thanks for the suggestions though. I'll keep brainstorming and see if I can come up with something satisfactory. I am hoping that one day, CC will come up with a way to add another level of sub categories or a way to add another categories page altogether. In any case, this is my software of choice, I love it and nothing is ever going to be perfect is it?
