Help modifying my cart - Post ID 170130
Hello - I'm helping a friend of mine with a shopping cart for her wholesale scented candle business and here is the problem.
She has 3 candles lines that come in 6 different sizes with six different prices.
I used the guide and the posts on here to come up with the suggested format - which is start with the "lowest priced candle" - $5.99 and use the drop down menu feature to add $ for the different sizes - i.e. +3 for small + 5 for medium + 7 for large etc...
We don't like however, when you drop the candle into the cart and go to checkout, the listing is for the original candle for 5.99 + 3 for a small - we found this very confusing as it looks like you were still buying a 2.5 oz votive candle.
So what I did was, I created my product page to have a price of 0 then add the prices. This works OK for the procust detail page, but in the cart it shows a price of 0?
I guess my question is - is there a way to hide the price value field on the cart page?
Here is a link to view what I have so far - thanks.....
Drop a candle size in the cart to see it show $0.00 in the cart

FYI - I blacked out the price field on the product detail page by using the same color as my background
Thanks for your help..!

Wanted to give an update and see if anyone can help?
I took the HTML code from my shopping cart and put it into the HTML Editor that Coffecup sells. I took out the word PRICE in the title and the $0.00 from the code.
I'm going to try and upload it to my server - but the cart uses PHP files. Anyone know how to edit these? or how to save HTML as PHP and upload to server correctly?
To be continued.......

Sorry, but it doesn't quite work that way Rob. You will need to learn how to code in PHP to make those changes and those changes need to be made directly on the server by editing various PHP files. I STRONGLY suggest however you do not touch any of those files if you do not know what you are doing.
What I would suggest you do instead is use the Publish as Catalog feature in Shopping Cart Creator Pro and use the HTML option. You can then make changes to these page in the HTML Editor.
Learn the essentials with these quick tips for Responsive Site Designer, Responsive Email Designer, Foundation Framer, and the new Bootstrap Builder. You'll be making awesome, code-free responsive websites and newsletters like a boss.
I should have known that is wasn't going to be that easy Scott.
I'll try what you said - I've played around with the Catalog feature, but didn't like that it didn't show prices or have a checkout.
I guess I will need to try and learn to use Zencart or something that is more flexible with the type of cart that she wants.....

I am just looking at Shopping Cart Creator Pro prior to buying. Forgive my ignorance, but how do I make future changes/additions to my shop once I have published it ? In SCCP and then publish again, or online?
You'll be able to make the changes to your shop on your pc then publish the updates to your server with the built in ftp.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
